Wednesday 27th April 2016.
The party in the Village Hall after the Induction of Jane Weeks was
organised by the committee with the help of parishioners from the Benefice.
The Christmas and Summer markets have become a regular feature, and St.
Mary’s Chancel Café is proving very popular. Also the Carols in the Square and
Boxing Day Hunt refreshments worked well.
Harvest lunch in church went well.
The committee organised a ‘thank-you/birthday’ celebration for Mary
Morgan, everyone contributed food etc.
Newcomers coffee mornings also very good, organised by Gillian.
Pancake brunch again enjoyed by villagers and visitors alike.
Lent lunches – due to the Methodists wishing to give up the
responsibility, St. Mary’s is now taking charge, but cut down to twice during
Lent, both times well attended.
A concert to be given by the Snowdown Colliery Male Voice Choir has been
organised for May 14th in church, with refreshments.
If anyone would like to join this committee, or have any suggestions for
further events would be welcomed by the Committee
