Elham Methodist Church hosts two prayer meetings in the Methodist Hall, open to all persons of any denomination or none. On the first Thursday of each month at 7.30pm half to three quarters of an hour of prayers, led by Rev Kevin Taylor and members of the church and including a cup of tea.  On a Saturday morning, every quarter at 8 am half an hour of prayer led by various Ministers followed by breakfast (cereal, toast, juice and coffee or tea) at 8.30.  The next Thursday meetings will be 6th July and 3rd August. The next Prayer Breakfasts will be 2nd September and 2nd December. 

Anyone welcome, come and join us       

CHURCH EVENTS 

St Mary Magdalene, Denton Coffee morning on July 22nd at 1030 at Tappington Hall.

 

Acrise Flower Festival. Sat 5th & Sun 6th August from 10am to 5pm

Come and see St. Martin’s church filled with flowers, and enjoy ploughman’s lunches, cakes and drinks, and a mini-fete, with sideshows, produce & craft stalls, tombolas and a grand raffle.

We would be grateful for any help with preparations & decorating the church on Friday 4th August, or with running a stall or generally helping on the Saturday/Sunday.  Donations of foliage & flowers, would be much appreciated, as would plants for the plant stall.  Cakes, vegetables, crafts, bric-a-brac, raffle & tombola prizes will also be welcome, sewing/knitting & help with jam making. Sponsor a Flower Arrangement at the Festival

If you would like to sponsor a flower arrangement in memory of a loved one then ring Jean Grieb on 01303892364 for details so that this can be organised before the church is decorated on Friday 4th August.  Jean has written to businesses that might be interested in sponsoring; if you know of a business that might be willing to sponsor then ring Jean.


Vicarage Allsorts & Mystical Moments II

An evening of poetry & music at St Martin’s, Wootton. Saturday August 19th at 7pm.

All are welcome, light refreshments will be served during the interval. Free entrance and a retiring collection to assist the upkeep of our glorious church heritage.
